Deuteronomy
Deuteronomy 6:4
“Hear, O Israel! The Lord is our God, the Lord is one!" (Deuteronomy 6:4 NASB1995).
In the Shema we read, “Hear, O Israel! The Lord is our God, the Lord is one!" (Deuteronomy 6:4 NASB1995). Some have used this to claim that Trinitarianism is unbiblical; however, this claim strawmans the nature of the Trinity for the Trinity is indeed one. One in three persons, a perfect unity. As "אֶחָֽד" or the word used for "one" can be used for a compound unity(a sum that is one) such as in Genesis 2:24, Genesis 11:6, Genesis 41:25, Numbers 13:23, Judges 20:1, Judges 20:8, & 2 Chronicles 30:12 the Trinity has no contention with the Shema.
Deuteronomy 25:11-12
“If two men, a man and his countryman, are struggling together, and the wife of one comes near to deliver her husband from the hand of the one who is striking him, and puts out her hand and seizes his genitals, then you shall cut off her hand; you shall not show pity," (Deuteronomy 25:11-12 NASB1995).
Now as with all things, there is a context. According to Dr. David A. Falk: "She's not just rescuing her husband here. She's crushing, ... now the crime here is she's killing off the countryman's posterity(or future generations of people, descendants), diminishing the clan. She is ruining the guy's chance to procreate, that is the issue. ... we find this in the law codes of Mesopotamia. The crime, the punishment, in the Mesopotamian law codes is death.
