If Adam and Eve Never Sinned, Would The Bible Exist?
Firstly, I think it is important to ask why God even placed the tree in the first place as it is very important in this discussion. God placed the tree of knowledge of good and evil in the Garden of Eden to give Adam and Eve a choice to obey Him or disobey Him. God gave Adam and Eve the ability to do whatever they desired, but he still placed a rule that they were not to eat of one singular tree (Genesis 2:16-17), but what was the point of even giving them the chance to disobey? Wouldn't it have been wise to just not even make such a tree?
If God had not given Adam and Eve the choice, they would have essentially been robots, simply doing what they were programmed to do. God desired his people to have free will, the ability to either choose or reject him. God desired a people who truly loved him, and true love can not be forced. God foreknew what they would choose, providing them with the opportunity to choose. If not for Adam and Eve, it would have been someone else so that mankind could choose for themselves what they desired. Their sin led to the greatest sacrifice, the redemption of mankind through love: “For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish, but have eternal life,” (John 3:16 NASB1995).
