Is The Bible Inspired by God?
Does The Bible Claim to be Inspired by God?
On numerous occasions the Bible certianly claims to be of God!
In one example, we see Paul noting his words are from God, "But we speak the wisdom of God in a mystery, even the hidden wisdom, which God ordained before the world unto our glory ... But God hath revealed them unto us by his Spirit: for the Spirit searcheth all things, yea, the deep things of God. For what man knoweth the things of a man, save the spirit of man which is in him? even so the things of God knoweth no man, but the Spirit of God. Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the spirit which is of God; that we might know the things that are freely given to us of God. Which things also we speak, not in the words which man's wisdom teacheth, but which the Holy Ghost teacheth; comparing spiritual things with spiritual," (1 Corinthians 2:7; 10-13 KJV). As Paul had noted, the wisdom they speak comes from God.
Paul repeats this idea in 2 Timothy where he states, "All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness," (2 Timothy 3:16 KJV). As Paul noted, all scripture is inspired by God.
Paul says again in 1 Thessalonians, "For this cause also thank we God without ceasing, because, when ye received the word of God which ye heard of us, ye received it not as the word of men, but as it is in truth, the word of God, which effectually worketh also in you that believe.
