What Did Jesus Say to Judas?
What Did Jesus Say to Judas?
In the Gospels, we learn that Judas betrayed Jesus. When Judas came to Jesus, we got two separate statements from Jesus.
"But Jesus said to him, “Judas, are you betraying the Son of Man with a kiss?” (Luke 22:48 NASB1995).
"And Jesus said to him, “Friend, do what you have come for.” Then they came and laid hands on Jesus and seized Him," (Matthew 26:50 NASB1995).
The answer to this supposed contradiction is merely noting that they both could have been said. There is no reason to assume Jesus could not have said both statements. For example, on Tuesday, I could say, "On Monday I ate a salad for dinner". On Wednesday, I could say, "On Monday I ate fish for dinner." There is no contradiction for I could have simply had both for dinner.
