Why Are NonChristian-Prayers Answered?
I think one thing to think of is a few reasons God may answer a prayer. The word of God tells us: “For the law brings wrath, but where there is no law there is no transgression,” (Romans 4:15 ESV). With this verse, we can apply it to our situation. It shows that God will judge based on what one knows, so if one does not know, perhaps God will still answer their prayers for this act is according to the Lord’s will. "And this is the confidence that we have in him, that, if we ask any thing according to his will, he heareth us," (1 John 5:14 KJV). Even if the person does not know them, this answer to their prayer may bring them closer to the truth or because the outcome will, down the line, do great good.
What also may be possible is demonic influences. Demons will truly do anything they can to rip those apart from the Lord our God. Thus, “Be of sober spirit, be on the alert. Your adversary, the devil, prowls around like a roaring lion, seeking someone to devour,” (1 Peter 5:8 NASB). Perhaps this is deception by demonic spirits to deceive them.
What may too be possible is a prayer was not actually answered, but simply, by chance, it came to be. Some things we pray for can just come to be even without spiritual acts. If we pray for our persecution to stop, it may simply end due to natural reasons such as if the persecutor died of a heart attack.
