How Do I Grow in Faith?
How Do I Grow in Faith?
Faith is an important thing all Christians must hold on to(2 Corinthians 5:7). If one has no faith, they truly do not know God(Hebrews 11:6), but how are we to keep and grow our faith even in times of great heart ship?
One terrific way to boost one's faith is by researching the significant evidence for Christianity. To not utilize such a weapon would be absurd, as if to run into a field of war without a shield nor armor. Simply a target against all enemies in reach.
Secondly, praying always helps faith significantly as well. "Is any among you afflicted? let him pray. Is any merry? let him sing psalms," (James 5:13 KJV). Pray when times are good and when you are under trial. "Watch and pray, that ye enter not into temptation: the spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak," (Matthew 26:41 KJV). Through your prayers, you will be stronger at avoiding temptation.
Reading the word too is very important for faith. As Paul writes, "So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God," (Romans 10:17 KJV). As the Bible contains the words of God, reading it is beneficial for faith.
Paul too writes that by giving glory to God, or by worshiping, one has a strong faith, "He staggered not at the promise of God through unbelief; but was strong in faith, giving glory to God," (Romans 4:20 KJV).
