IsJesus A Universalist?

What is A Universalist?

A universalist is someone who believes all people will eventually go to Heaven.

Is Jesus A Universalist?

There are many verses that debunk the idea that Jesus was a universalist. A very specific one is from the book of Matthew where it says, “Enter through the narrow gate; for the gate is wide and the way is broad that leads to destruction(i.e. Hell), and there are many who enter through it. For the gate is small and the way is narrow that leads to life(i.e. Heaven), and there are few who find it" (Matthew 7:13-14 NASB1995).

As Matthew notes, the path to Hell has many on its way while the path to Heaven have few on its path. Therefore, not all go to Heaven.

In John, we get another specific verse, “For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son(I.e. Jesus), that whoever believes in Him(i.e. Jesus) shall not perish(i.e. In Hell), but have eternal life(i.e. in Heaven)" (John 3:16 NASB1995).

Then, as Paul notes, "In flaming fire taking vengeance on them that know not God, and that obey not the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ," (2 Thessalonians 1:8 KJV).

More Verses:

"Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God," (John 3:3 KJV).

"I tell you, no, but unless you repent, you will all likewise perish" (Luke 13:3 NASB1995).
