Is The Spirit Conscious?
"For it seemed good to the Holy Ghost, and to us, to lay upon you no greater burden than these necessary things" (Acts 15:28KJV). The verse says that something was good to the spirit, if it was not conscious, how could it feel something? (The original Greek word for seemed was "ἔδοξεν" meaning seemed or pleased.)
"The Spirit Himself testifies with our spirit that we are children of God" (Romans 8:16 NASB1995). The spirit himself is doing something by his own will, not by any other.
"Do not grieve the Holy Spirit of God, by whom you were sealed for the day of redemption" (Ephesians 4:30 NASB1995). How can an unconscious being be sad(grieve)?
