"I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end, the first and the last," (Revelations 22:13 KJV). Jesus said this (Rev 22:16) to show he is Divine. The parrel he chooses to make this point is with the Greek alphabet; Alpha is the first letter of the Greek alphabet while Omega is the last.

For ye were as sheep going astray; but are now returned unto the Shepherd and Bishop of your souls," (1 Peter 2:24-25 KJV). (Also read John 10:11)

The First Born From The Dead;

Jesus is most certainly called the First Born From The Dead. "And he is the head of the body, the church: who is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead; that in all things he might have the preeminence. For it pleased the Father that in him should all fulness dwell; And, having made peace through the blood of his cross, by him to reconcile all things unto himself; by him, I say, whether they be things in earth, or things in heaven," (Colossians 1:18-20 KJV).

As the verse says, Jesus, the one who brought peace through his blood on the cross, is the firstborn from the dead. The term firstborn likely refers to Jesus' preexistence; however, it may also refer to some sort of status. We see that Israel too was called God's firstborn, "And thou shalt say unto Pharaoh, Thus saith the Lord, Israel is my son, even my firstborn," (Exodus 4:22 KJV). So perhaps it does not refer to preexistence(as Israel was not the first nation), but an elected status. When one is a firstborn, in the context of a family, they tend to be a leader for their siblings, so perhaps Jesus and Israel are both leaders. Setting precedents for other people or nations. "From the dead" likely refers to the resurrection. That he came back from the dead(1 Thessalonians 4:14).

The Last Adam:

In an epistle by Paul, he writes, "And so it is written, The first man Adam was made a living soul; the last Adam was made a quickening spirit," (1 Corinthians 15:45 KJV). This title is made to show Adam was the first man from the Earth, but Jesus is the first from Heaven(1 Corinthians 15:47-50).

The Son of Man:

In the Gospel of Matthew, he writes, "The Son of man came eating and drinking, and they say, Behold a man gluttonous, and a winebibber, a friend of publicans and sinners. But wisdom is justified of her children," (Matthew 11:9 KJV). The son of man seems to be a man, one who came from another. Accorcding to Daniel, "I saw in the night visions, and, behold, one like the Son of man came with the clouds of heaven, and came to the Ancient of days, and they brought him near before him. And there was given him dominion, and glory, and a kingdom, that all people, nations, and languages, should serve him: his dominion is an everlasting dominion, which shall not pass away, and his kingdom that which shall not be destroyed," (Daniel 7:13-14 KJV). The son of man was to be served or exalted. His dominion reaching over his ever-lasting kingdom, likely Heaven. Who is this Daniel is prophesying of? Jesus. The man who came down(Philippians 2:5-7) and was exalted so that every knee is to bow to him(Philippians 2:9-12).
