What is Predestination?
Predestination simply is the belief that God predestines(or chooses) who will be saved. Roman Catholics, Baptists, Presbyterians, and Calvinists are some examples of people who belief in this doctrine. Islam also shares this doctrine, but under the name of Al-Qadr and much more extreme(Allah controlling all their actions).
Early Beliefs in Predestination:
John Calvin writes, "For they are not all created with a similar destiny; but eternal life is fore-ordained for some, and eternal damnation for others. Every man, therefore, being created for one or the other of these ends, we say, he is predestinated either to life or to death."
