What is Sin Unto Death?

" If any man see his brother sin a sin which is not unto death, he shall ask, and he shall give him life for them that sin not unto death. There is a sin unto death: I do not say that he shall pray for it. All unrighteousness is sin: and there is a sin not unto death," (1 John 5:16-17 KJV).

In the Bible, there are many confusing verses. Perhaps one of the most challenging is these two verses, 1 John 5:16-17. So, what do these verses mean? These verses are actually in reference to two concepts, the unforgivable sin, and normal sins(By normal sin I mean sins that are forgivable). How do we know this? Well, in the verse it said that there is a sin leading to death, this being blasphemy against the holy spirit. It is saying the person will spiritually die, not physically.  We know this because the verse says, "...and he shall give him life for them that sin not unto death," (1 John 5:17 KJV). Life is given when one follows God, when they have the Spirit. If you do not have life and are spiritually dead, thus you are not saved. What are sin not leading to death? That would be sins that aren't blasphemy against the Spirit. Sins a believer may commit, however, even though we are flawed we are still saved through Jesus.

The reason the verse says, "and God will, for him, give life to those who commit sin not leading to death," is because God doesn't help those who commit blasphemy against the Spirit. This is because blasphemy against the Spirit is the rejection of God, this rejection lasting until the person's death. God will not help those who don't desire help from him. God won't force his love on people as real love can not be forced.
