Why Were Only Women Punished(Genesis, Birth Pains)?

In Genesis 3:16 NASB 1995, this is said. "To the woman He said, “I(i.e. God, Yahweh) will greatly multiply Your pain in childbirth In pain you will bring forth children..."' So, why were only women punished? Well, they weren't. Men also were punished, this confusion only comes if one did not read the entire passage.

"Then to Adam He(I.e. God, Yahweh) said, “Because you have listened to the voice of your wife(i.e., listening to her over God), and have eaten from the tree about which I commanded you, saying, ‘You shall not eat from it’; Cursed is the ground because of you; In toil(i.e. hard work, exhausting physical labor) you will eat of it All the days of your life. 18 “Both thorns and thistles it shall grow for you; And you will eat the plants of the field; 19  By the sweat of your face You will eat bread, Till you return to the ground, Because from it you were taken; For you are dust, And to dust you shall return" (Genesis 3:17-19 NASB1995). Eve's or women's punishment is birth pains, Adam's or Men's punishment seems to be harder work, having to deal with things such as thorns and prickers until one dies. To survive, one needs a farm or garden, as a punishment God made this a challenge for disobeying.

Both were also punished by being kicked out of Eden. "therefore the Lord God sent him out from the garden of Eden, to cultivate the ground from which he was taken. So He drove the man out; and at the east of the garden of Eden He stationed the cherubim and the flaming sword which turned every direction to guard the way to the tree of life" (Genesis 3:23-24 NASB1995).
