Things The Bible Predicted, That Then Came True!
A lot of people like to claim that the Bible is a book of fairy tales or lies, that there is no evidence, and that is inaccurate. Here are just a few times the Bible predicted something, that later came true!
The Falling of Babylon:
In Isaiah, the Bible predicts something very exact. The fall of Babylon(Isaiah 21:9), but it goes even deeper than that; it predicted who would take it down, even naming a king's name! The Bible predicted this about 150yrs before the event. It tells us the Medes and the Persians will take it down(Isaiah 13:17), even predicting that a king named Cyrus would conquer the land(Isaiah 45:1)! This then came true.
The Falling of Jerusalem:
In Luke, it is prophesied that Jerusalem would fall. "But when you see Jerusalem surrounded by armies, then recognize that her desolation is near" (Luke 21:20). In Matthew, it furthers the point that Jerusalem would be destroyed. "Jesus left the temple area and was going on His way when His disciples came up to point out the temple buildings to Him. But He responded and said to them, “Do you not see all these things? Truly I say to you, not one stone here will be left upon another, which will not be torn down" (Matthew 24:1-2). Just as it was predicted, Jerusalem fell by the Romans approximately 40 years later.
The Moon Is Beginning to Rust:
You read that correctly, the moon is beginning to rust! The Bible actually predicted this strange occurrence. "...and the moon into blood, before the great and terrible day of the Lord come" (Joel 2:31). A common claim that comes next is that rust isn't the color of blood, this is partially true. Certain kinds actually can be, and the type of rust the moon has just so happens to be this kind. Hematitic rust, hema meaning blood in Greek, follows this perfectly. If you doubt this event to be true, Nasa confirmed this as fact!
