What Does The Bible Say About Money?
One important concept we see throughout the Bible is we must not covet: "Make sure that your character is free from the love of money(or without covetousness), being content(or satisfied) with what you have(or present things); for He Himself has said, “I will never desert you, nor will I ever forsake you," (Matthew 13:5 NASB1995). Paul too notes, "For the love(or desire) of money is the root of all evil: which while some coveted after, they have erred(or wandered) from the faith, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows," (1 Timothy 6:10 KJV). Solomon too wrote, "He who loves money(or silver) will not be satisfied with money, nor he who loves abundance with its income. This too is vanity," (Ecclesiastes 5:10 NASB1995). It is clear the Bible teaches us the love of money is not something any of us should do.
Solomon wrote this, "Wealth obtained by fraud(or injustice) dwindles, But the one who gathers by labor increases it," (Proverbs 13:11 NASB1995).
