Did Shoshenq Exist?
In the book of Kings, it mentions a Pharoah named Shoshemq, "Solomon sought therefore to kill Jeroboam. And Jeroboam arose, and fled into Egypt, unto Shishak king of Egypt, and was in Egypt until the death of Solomon," (1 Kings 11:40 KJV). Amazingly, we have significant evidence he existed.
In 1925, a fragment known as the Shoshenq Megiddo Fragment was found. This fragment, although small, proved the existence of Sheshonk the First.
