1 John
1 John 5:16-17
"16 If anyone sees his brother or sister committing a sin not leading to death, he shall ask and God will, for him, give life to those who commit sin not leading to death. There is sin leading to death; I am not saying that he should ask about that. 17 All unrighteousness is sin, and there is sin not leading to death."
In the Bible, there are many confusing verses. Perhaps one of the most challenging is these two verses, 1 John 5:16 and 17. So, what do these verses mean? These verses are actually in reference to two concepts, the unforgivable sin, and normal sins(By normal sin I mean sins that are forgivable). How do we know this? Well, in the verse it said that there is a sin leading to death, this being blasphemy against the holy spirit. It is saying the person will spiritually die, not physically. What is the sin not leading to death? That would be sins that aren't blasphemy against the spirit.
The reason the verse says, "and God will, for him, give life to those who commit sin not leading to death," is because God doesn't help those who commit blasphemy against the spirit. This is because blasphemy against the spirit is the rejection of God, this rejection lasting until the person's death, God won't help those who don't desire help from him. God won't force his love on people, real love can't be forced.
